These UR homes have pet-conscious common facilities and interior details and permit dogs, cats and specified small pets under dedicated rules. It does not mean pets are freely permitted in an ordinary UR home.

Permitted pets
A home may keep either one dog or one cat, generally no more than about 10 kg when fully grown. Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, squirrels, ferrets, small birds and ornamental fish are also allowed within defined size and number limits. Pets must be kept indoors.
Apply for a dog or cat before contracting
A dog needs records covering registration, rabies vaccination, size or breed and other vaccinations. A cat needs evidence of a microchip, spaying or neutering and vaccinations; a pledge may be required if a procedure is pending. The applicant pays all related costs.
Facilities differ by property
Examples include paw-washing and waste stations, lead hooks, pet elevator buttons, pet doors and noise-conscious windows. Not every participating home has every feature.
Pet rules and clubs
The tenant signs confirmation of the pet rules. Where a pet club operates, dog and cat owners must join and pay its fee. The tenant is responsible for nuisance prevention and repairs caused by odor, hair, scratching or other pet-related damage.
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep one dog and one cat together?
No. UR's published rule permits either one dog or one cat per home.
Is rent higher for a pet owner?
UR's FAQ says rent, deposit and common fees are the same. Pet-club fees and pet-related expenses can still be separate.
